The Training Delivery and Support Officer will be responsible for a significant variety and volume of training which will be required to support the implementation of a number of separate but connected functionality releases, being delivered between November 2011 to July 2012. A formal training management plan will need to be developed to manage all required training in an organised and coordinated manner.
Job Requirements
Develop and manage the overall training plan and schedule
Develop appropriate training content and materials, considering the most effective methods for achieving learning outcomes
Deliver training, with support from the program staff as appropriate
Provide guidance and knowledge to other staff (subject matter experts) who have training responsibilities
Organise relevant training logistics: review the list of participants, develop training agendas & work with the program staff to develop related materials
Collect, analyse and report on participant feedback with respect to service and relevance
Maintain relevant training records
Undertake any other related training activities to fulfil the training program
Skills required include
Training Certificate level IV is essential
Experience working in a training environment
Excellent communication and facilitation skills
Strong project planning, management and delivery ability
Highly skilled in Microsoft Office applications and various presentation and publishing tools, PowerPoint, FastStone and Captivate.
Ability to manage varying priorities and deliver to tight deadlines
Experience in dealing with a wide range of stakeholders with various and at times complex training requirements
Excellent team focus and skill to work in a large, diverse team environment
Flexible, proactive approach to achieving high quality outcomes
Highly Desirable
Experience and knowledge of Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and asset management systems (preferably Ellipse) is desirable
