A unique opportunity has presented itself for a Telecommunications Engineer to fulfil a 6 month contract in Darwin. Working within an important Government department, you will be effectively providing maintenance, repair and upgrade of services to PABX customers. You will be very customer service focussed.
This is an excellent chance to experience something different and escape the daily grind of city life.
This role is not for the faint-hearted and if you're not currently living in Darwin, will require genuine desire to relocate and experience a new lifestyle.
The chance of a contract extension being offered is highly likely.
We are interested in hearing from Telecommunication Engineer's who have the following credentials:
- Minimum of 2 years in the field of telecommunications
- Proven previous experience and thorough knowledge of one or more PABX Systems & associated products
- Knowledge of PABX hardware and magazine layout; programming facilities and feature; Trunking diagrams/networks and familiarity with voice network signalling schemes.
- ACA Cabling Licence
- Current Driver Licence
- Tertiary certificate in telecommunications or equivalent
- The ability to build solid relationships
- Defence Security Clearance (or be willing to undertake)
- Excellent time management, problem solving and customer service skills
Ball park rate is approximately $600 per day including superannuation - this is open for negotiation.
We are also able to discuss Living Away from Home Allowance eligibility for people who may consider relocating for this role.
This benefit entitles people to subsidised rent and other living costs.
