IT Sales Manager
Canberra
A leading software and service provider, a specialist in their area are currently looking for an experienced Sales specialist with the right technical background to be responsible for securing new business in the public sector.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research and formalize strategy / create target list;
  • Networking, cold calling, email campaigns;
  • Create & maintain a sales pipeline;
  • Strategic value based selling, business case definition, ROI analysis, references & analyst data;
  • Engagement of appropriate resources such as Sales Engineers, Professional Services, Executives;
  • Regular update of the sales forecasting system;
  • Accurate monthly forecasting & revenue delivery.

Skills & Experience:
  • Degree required; technical background preferable
  • Sales training including Consultative Selling
  • Selling direct and/or through large System Integrators;
  • System Integrator/software product vendor working relationship;
  • Complex software or solutions sales;
  • High level contacts in key System Integrators, End Users & End User Agents;
  • Selling complex, mission critical enterprise software / innovatively creating real market penetration;
  • Excellent understanding of Government market, philosophy & procurement;
  • Drive sales process from cold calling to structured lead generation, tracking and managing sales pipeline, management reporting and execution, client and SI relationship management;
  • Strategic thinking;
  • Articulate and confident;
  • Development of presentation & trade show materials;
  • Proven ability to interact with senior government officials at all levels including CEO, CIO, Secretary,Deputy Secretary, Assistant Secretary, Directors and Managers;
  • Relationship selling, consultative selling & solution selling techniques;
  • IT solutions provision in public sector in Australia;
  • Personally developing business from new and existing accounts;
  • Domain knowledge in biometrics & identity space.

This position will have Asia Pacific responsibility.

Potential for either Sydney or Canberra based position.
