Senior IT Development Project Manager


My client is a leader in information management solutions. Due to their continued success they are currently undergoing a major unification project. I am seeking a highly motivated Senior Project Manager. If you enjoy taking on challenging projects, being part of a growing global team and willing to travel, this could be the role for you.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan the Project: Schedule resources, develop project plans, make project assignments, and secure scope agreement from project sponsor. Conduct project kick-off meeting
• Monitor and Control the Project: Mitigate risks, develop risk response plans, manage issues, forecast, manage costs, scope and resources, and provide communications. Deliver the final product. Complete the warranty period and handoff to appropriate support team
• Close the Project: Submit final budget reports and status reports. Release the project team back to the resource pool. Conduct a lessons learned meeting
• Report on the Project: Deliver weekly/monthly project reports required by the Project Management Office

You will have the following experience:

• 10 years as a full-time project or program manager, preferably in a matrix, software development environment
• Experience working on global business projects across a number of jurisdictions
• Experience with projects in multiple technologies, functions (e.g. transaction management, risk management etc.) and industries


Skills and Knowledge

• Deep understanding of SDLC methodology (Agile a plus)
• Deep knowledge of project management best practices and standards
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proven leadership and negotiating skills
• Software development experience or equivalent

Challenges

• Work hours will be demanding, yet flexible in order to accommodate global resources and customer schedules
• Role will involve working across multiple time zones and managing across multiple countries and cultures
