PMO Manager
Reporting to the ICT Projects Team Lead, you will be responsible for defining, documenting, implementing, maintaining and improving processes, tools and metrics that govern and support the ICT and Project Management teams.  This role will define, develop and forge adherence to a centralised process framework to ensure standardisation and consistency to improve customer experience and satisfaction, deliverable reliability and process and cost efficiencies.
 
Serving as an authority on project management methods and practices, this role will encourage a project environment focused on performance and execution and build project management capability, discipline and professionalism among the team.
 
  • Review, assess and improve project management processes, skills and capabilities within the ICT function
  • Develop and maintain a pragmatic framework for delivering project management process improvements and ensuring process standardisation across the ICT team
  • Project manage and implement process and efficiency improvement and standardisation initiatives
  • Prepare presentations, business cases,  written proposals and process maps for identified  process improvements
  • Improve communication and decision-making so that Senior Managers and stakeholders have up-to-date and accurate information and projects achieve strategic objectives
  • Ensure a consistent approach to planning and managing projects is implemented across ICT so that project success is the expected "norm"
  • Ensure continuous process improvement outcomes
 
Key requirements:
 
  • Bachelor degree from a recognised tertiary institution in the specialist discipline
  • 6 Sigma qualifications from a recognised institution
  • Experience working in or establishing a Project Management office
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate training workshops and mentoring employees
  • Demonstrated skills and ability in presentation of complex concepts through graphical, written and oral communication.
  • Extensive knowledge of project management concepts, methodologies and tools
  • Ability to mentor and train project managers on processes to successfully execute projects
