Our Client provides IT services to several large Australian-based construction companies, with branches throughout Australia, Singapore and the Philippines. This permanent, full time position will be operating out of our Singapore office, building out our new on-premises data center. The successful candidate will have substantial experience working in a similar environment and work closely with the Perth IT team and project stakeholders to deliver projects on time and budget. The position will provide the opportunity for regular travel to Australia
Responsibilities:
- Liaise with customers and external vendors to deploy IT solutions
- Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations to management and customers in the Australian offices
- Install, configure and maintain network services, equipment and devices
- Develop and maintain system documentation
- Create backup and recovery policies
- Test disaster recovery processes
- Monitor network traffic between the Singapore and Australian sites
- Identify issues and risks associated with hardware or software upgrades
- Manage hardware and software inventory
Required Skills:
- Minimum 3 years experience in a similar environment, supporting server and network infrastructure for medium/large business
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP networks, Active Directory, Red Hat Enterprise Linux and VMware
- Experience with EqualLogic SAN arrays or equivalent iSCSI storage technology
- Familiarity with enterprise level backup software
- Proven troubleshooting skills
- Some experience in project management would be an advantage
- Experience with a network management system
- Working knowledge of firewalls and security
- Relevant tertiary background and/or certifications would be an advantage
