A leading Telco giant is seeking and experienced 2G/ 3G Engineer and join their Network team. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a leading company during the continual implementation and upgrading of their own 2G/3G network. This role involves performing RF design work, cell planning, optimisation, performance enhancement, on-going project activities as well as involvement in resolving radio related issues as they arise. Experience in the design, deployment and optimisation of 2G/3G mobile networks is essential for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Radio access optimisation of GSM and GPRS parameter sets, radio spectrum, voice quality and congestion
- Radio access network element design and preparation of documentation
- Radio access network growth planning and capacity management
- New infrastructure integration and acceptance, site surveys and arranging coverage testing
Key Skills:
- Demonstrable experience in radio access design, planning and optimisation of GSM/3G networks
- Prior experience with Nokia or Huawei radio propagation and RF equipment
- Detailed knowledge of cellular networks and products and operation theory
- Understanding of radio traffic management
- Strong communication skills
- Proven customer focused
- Self starter with high level of initiative
