Our client a Global Organisation, is looking for an experienced Disaster Recovery Coordinator to assist in the development of new Disaster Recovery or Business Continuity plans. You will be working closely with the Disaster Recovery Manager to develop and foster an enterprise Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity culture.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Coordinate Disaster Recovery tests for business, including the completion of DR test plans and post test reports.
- Assist in the development, update and maintenance of business unit and corporate DR plans.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of business unit and corporate BC plans.
- Analyse and document Business DR and BC requirements.
- Coordinate and liaise with SMEs to obtain information required for the completion of documentation.
- Coordinate and maintain DR test schedule including stakeholder negotiation.
- Assist in the development of DR/BC awareness and training programs.
- Perform DR issue identification and coordinate the development and implementation of action plans for issue resolution.
- Proactively contribute to IT projects requiring DR deliverables including during solution and implementation phases.
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or relevant industry experience.
- Previous experience in a DR Coordination role.
- Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity management lifecycle and processes.
- Working knowledge and understanding of IT systems, networks and business applications.
- Experience with using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Project).
