Key responsibilities:
- Ensure 2nd level support (24x7) is resourced to meet the demands of business as usual, major implementations and seasonal peak processing periods. Focus is to return to service as quickly as possible.
- Ensure timely response to alerts and outages. Monitor and measure the performance of the team in relation to SLAs
- Problem Management - tracking and reporting. Drive the technology team to identify root cause and develop permanent corrective action plans
- Ensure technical documentation and training materials are developed and maintained for the Data Centre Operations
- Ensure Technology Operations requirements for new projects and functionality are documented and included in all projects and change implementations
Key requirements:
- Proven track record of successfully leading, developing and managing a multi-disciplined team in a large corporate technology environment
- Demonstrated experience managing a 24x7 production support team
- Demonstrated experience in successfully managing a highly available (99.999%), scalable online processing environment
- Successful track record in managing high rates of complex change
- Demonstrated track record in identifying and implementing process improvement
- Demonstrated track record in developing and maintaining operational documentation
- Financial services or payments experience will be highly regarded
- Previous IT Vendor Management experience
- Strong understanding of IT service management principles (ITIL)
- Experience in an ITSM environment
- Sound working knowledge of data back-up and recovery strategies
- Sound working knowledge of industry standards and government regulations relevant to data communications/ networking
- PCI expertise will be highly regarded
- Sound understanding of data, application and storage networking principles including IPv4 & IPv6, load balancing, firewalls
- Sound understanding of IT security practices
- Sound understanding of Project Management and SDLC Methodologies
