Our large private client is currently seeking an experienced SQL Database Administrator to join their team.

Required experience and qualifications include:

• 3 years minimum experience managing Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2005/2008 systems in development and production roles;
• Superior Database Analysis, Design and Development skills;
• Advanced T-SQL Procedure Development and de-bugging skills;
• SQL Server Configuration and Installation, including patches and service packs;
• Demonstrated SQL Server tuning and problem resolution skills and experience;
• Demonstrated database performance monitoring, backup, transfer and optimisation skills;
• The ability to control the release of database schema and procedure changes to test and production systems, working with all stake holders in the SDLC;
• Ability to enforce SQL server development and security standards;
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Data loading, DTS and SSIS;
• Experience with version control processes and systems;Experience in impact analysis on database change requests;
• SQL Server capacity planning abilities;
• Good knowledge of SQL security;
• Experience administering very large databases;
• General networking and hardware configuration;
