Your role:
To work with internal and external clients and fellow developers, design and deliver programming solutions to a range of problems - be they maintenance, business problems, new projects or R&D. And write high quality code.
Responsible for:
- Writing code
- Writing Unit Tests
- Writing database queries (SQL)
- Creating reports
- Performing Code Reviews
- Pair Program with other programmers
- Mentor junior developers when/as required
- Performing System Testing
- Assist with User Acceptance Testing
- Participate in the build process
- Identify and rectify bugs
- Assist helpdesk in resolving user enquiries
- Meet with internal clients and facilitate the process of eliciting and documenting customer requirements
- Translate the client requirements into technical specifications
- Plan and supervise the execution of the development process
- Re-engage with the clients as to the project process and testing procedures
To be successful for this role, you will have the following skills:
Essential
- Tertiary Qualification in Computer Science and or Information Technology- Academic Transcripts required- Distinction or higher!
- Strong programming skills, including excellent knowledge and understanding of OO principles
- Solid web development skills a MUST have- HTML, JavaScript / JQuery, CSS, AJAX experience.
- Read / Write T-SQL
- Solid .NET platform skills and experience (C#, VB.NET)
- Experience with ASP.NET Web Forms & ASP.NET MVC
Desirable
- Unit Testing framework knowledge (MSTest, NUnit, JUnit etc.)
- Experience working with NHibernate OR a comparable ORM (e.g. Hibernate,Entity Framework etc.)
- Knowledge of .NET 4.0 features
