A unique opportunity exists for a Database Administrator (DBA) to join a world leader in database software and enterprise data warehousing. This company has led the data warehousing market since its inception. You will be involved in delivering award winning integrated platforms and will provide services to administer maintain and control the data warehouse including the database, operating system and tools.
If successful you will be the Project Technical Lead on a project and will be required to use your expertise and technical knowledge in the administration and control of the data warehouse environment, including the database, operating system, and tools.
Your key responsibilities:
- Administration, maintenance, and control of database optimization, capacity, security, configuration, scheduling, errors, and execution of maintenance utilities.
- Managing data and referential integrity of the database.
- Conducting periodic backups of the database and operating system.
- Plan for and support hardware and software installation and upgrades.
- Coordinate and assist in the implementation of data replication and distribution
To be successful in this position you will be able demonstrate:
- In depth knowledge of operations management and control.
- In depth knowledge of data warehousing.
- In depth knowledge of Teradata tools.
- In depth knowledge of security tools.
- In depth knowledge of system management.
- Experience as an Oracle DBA and preferably Teradata DBA experience
