My client, based in Wollongong, has started a new large program of work which has included setting up a new department. As a result, there is a requirement for a professional with strong experience in the area of software licensing to join them, initially on a 6 month contract.
Duties will involve....
- Collate software requirements collected by other projects
- Create a catalogue of all software being purchased under the program
- Indicate the category the software falls into
- Identify optimal approach to licensing
- Participate in vendor management activities relating to the software
- Ensure that usage planned is allowed under the licence structure
- Work with IT Services to plan & deliver software as required
- Work with IT Services to resolve licensing and usage issues around software requiring dongles
- Work with the program and IT Services Management to brief, where necessary, legal & other areas on issues identified
- Work with the Project Manager, Software Environments to undertake risk analysis and reporting
- Assist with budget management.
They are looking for someone with very strong organisational, analytical and communication skills, as well as the strong previous experience that demonstrates the relevant knowledge and ability to perform the tasks above (which should specifically include working on similar software licensing projects).
The rate is negotiable for the right person.
