Portfolio Analyst - Financials and Reporting - 6 month contract

Are you good with Financials and Reporting, have great attention to detail and are looking for a challenging contract role based in the CBD. Look no further we have a 6 month contract opportunity for an experienced Portfolio Analyst to join our client.
 
You will be working with PMO and your role will be to support the PMO Manager and the Manager IT Governance
Key Accountabilities of the position will focus on Project Portfolio Reporting and Project Financials
 
Project Portfolio Reporting
Develop and maintain portfolio reports, dashboards and scorecards. Proactively looking forward with all reporting to validate the outcomes on projects meet the IT Branch scorecard measures.
Accountable for the data quality, accuracy and timeliness of the reporting provided to key stakeholders
Develop and maintain the project dependency matrices to inform key stakeholders and management of project dependencies so that conscious management actions can be taken to address portfolio risks
Liaise with key stakeholders and IT management to ensure the portfolio reporting is fit for purpose
Support the development of strategies in consultation with the Resource Co-Coordinator to meet future project demand and management information on demand and supply requirements to resource projects.
  
Project Financials
Assist Project Managers to manage project financials including posting and reconciling of financial entries in a timely manner ensuring the financial integrity of all IT projects being undertaken.
Provide project financial reporting to key stakeholders on a monthly basis
Ensure the integrity of purchase orders are accurate based on project spend and that external service providers records are in line with the clients.
Maintain the financial position of the IT Portfolio's of work for Capex and OPEX spend and the alignment to the financial systems.
Undertake regular spot checks of project financials and ensuring alignment to the financial systems.
Maintain the accrued position of all project portfolio's of work for accurate financial reporting.
 
Skills Required:
Degree or Post Graduate qualifications in IT, project management..
Serveral years experience working in a complex IT project environment.
Member of IT project management professional body such as Project Management Institute -desirable.
Detailed working knowledge of IT project planning, project management methods and tools -essential.  
Worked in an IT PMO Governing function developing methods, processes and standards with at least 3 years experience
Experienced in a project financial capacity ensuring accuracy of the information.
Working knowledge of contemporary, industry standard IT project management methodology such as PMBoK or Prince2
 
Essential:
Strong strategic planning, finance and leadership skills.
