Well known Queensland based organisation requires a Technical Infrastructure Architect for an initial 3 month contract with a potential 9 month extension likely.

The Technical Infrastructure Architect will provide specialist infrastructure knowledge on an ambitious program to replace a number of aging technology systems(based on a Microsoft/Windows centric infrastructure)

The ideal candidate will have specialist knowledge across the full spectrum of infrastructure technologies.

You will be required to undertake the following roles and responsibilities:

• Review the current technical infrastructure and related satellite facilities supporting the existing application integration platform;
• In accordance with the specified non functional requirements, the overall solution architecture for the integration platform and budgetary constraints
• Lead and conduct solutions architect activities in the technical infrastructure and systems domain for other ICT Projects, as directed by the Group Leader,
• Oversee the quality review and socialisation process for produced deliverables
• Perform knowledge transfer to platform implementation and deployment staff and assist with coordination of implementation activities
• Assist in the identification and scheduling of activities that may impact on the successful implementation of project initiatives;
• Develop, maintain and foster effective networks, consultation and liaison between the Technical Infrastructure branch and other key stakeholders

Experience and knowledge you bring:

• Demonstrated experience in architecture enterprise technology solutions and documenting logical and physical system infrastructure designs
• Demonstrated experience designing, implementing and tuning highly available Wintel and SQL Server solutions in a virtualised environment;
• Demonstrated experience with hardware and software load balancing in a Microsoft-centric environment using commercial load balancing products
• Familiarity and sound experience with, Active Directory and Kerberos, SQL Server 2005+ and SQL Server reporting services, Windows 2003 and 2008 Server, Firewalls and Networking;
• Demonstrated, highly developed communication and presentation skills including the ability to, Prepare, coordinate and present timely and accurate advice, briefings, reports and complex submissions
