As a Network Architect, part of Network Architecture team be responsible for design, installation, decommission and ongoing support of Network Infrastructure, including Routers, Switches, Firewalls, Load Balancers and Voice components.
Australian citizenship is a requirement of role to secure federal government clearances.
Technical requirements:
- Bridging/Switching
- Routing Protocols (BHP, OSPF, EIGRP)
- Security
- Sound Troubleshooting skills
- F5 Load Balancer
- Firewalls (Juniper, Netscreen, PIX, ASA, Checkpoint)
- Riverbed WAN Accelerator and Interceptor
- Voice over IP (VOIP)
- Netscout network analysis tool
- Sound network troubleshooting skills
Anticipate being involved in following activities:
- Translate project requirements into technological requirements.
- Provide architectural direction to support and drive the development of the network to meet commercial and quality business needs
- Designs and costs architecture and technical solutions.
- Develops business proposals and Statements of Work
- Evaluate, architect and design technical solutions.
- Negotiate.
- Articulate complex problems related to solution being developed.
- Applies creativity and judgment in development of multiple I/T solutions related to defined project objectives
Infrastructure includes: Intel and midrange server environments, LAN / WAN and other networking technologies, Storage technologies, such as SAN, fibre-channel, NAS technologies, Security infrastructure, Systems management, Utility based models for server and storage capacity, Integration technologies, Backup and recovery methodologies, DR facilities, Facilities management.
